(I really am hoping this isn’t going to start off some bandwagon thing with a million articles following. Anyway full poem below I just didn’t want the first line to show up all by itself)
Full disclosure: The manufacturer wanted me to review this car so bad
They made me shill out endless Benjamins until my wallet was sad
Minus points for not brown, wagon or manual
10-year old sheetmetal; they do not understand “refresh: annual”
The engine was decent, the tires grounded-to-the-ground
Though the weight did not favor a ratio of horsepower-per-pound
Was this a car I’d daily drive? The answer is a yes
Though for why would I is anyone’s guess
My impressions complete and fresh in my mind
I even made a video of the POV-kind
No dash cam or GoPro brought to record
Satisfied with Potato bought of my own accord
Hurry off to OppositeLock! To share my experiences
To tell them why driving this consists of eye-rolling and winces
Typing into Kinja, nearly complete
1,300 words give or take a narrative peep
Insert that video, a simple drop-down matter
Failing to load, now I get madder
Bar loading and loading incessantly
Getting Kinja’d, the only thing on Oppo consistently
Three little gray dots pulsing forever
Impressions now thus “publishing: never”
Take a break to play some Forza 6
Come back to a blank screen and my words nix’d
Been posting here for the last three years
Getting Kinja’d, the sum of my fears
Yet in my experience I’ve only grown calloused
That this is how things are, Kinja’s malice
And thus another day on OppositeLock
With my auto-journalism ambitions a permanent block
